Nina Dobrev Chokes Up at Teen Choice Awards, Thanks Fans
“The last few months have been a pretty big change for me”, she says.

Dobrev continued her speech as though to remind herself, as well as the audience, why she left The Vampire Diaries and moved halfway across the country to Los Angeles. While this may have been a sad reminder to her fans that she was no longer a member of The Vampire Diaries cast, she quickly grew serious.
For some reason, we just weren’t expecting Dobrev to get all real and emotional on us tonight, even if it was her last opportunity to win a Teen Choice Award for playing Elena Gilbert, so we were totally unprepared to start feeling those feels all over again. This is especially scary if that new beginning is coming from an unknown place or if you have no destination in mind. Necessary for you to grow, and to learn, and to better yourself, because everything in life comes to an end.
“And as this chapter of my life comes to an end, I look back at it with a grateful heart and I smile”.
Sparkle with sequins like Nina The 2015 Teen Selection Award blue carpet is show star studded, which exclusively means a carpet filled with fashion do’s & don’ts…to date, we have been noticing the do’s!
In addition to her Choice TV Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy award, she also won for Choice Kiss with Ian Somerhalder, who played her love interest Damon.
“She did a great job for the six years she was on the show”. Yet, that did not stop Julie Plec from taking Dobrev out of the series, which practically ended Dobrev’s run in the “Vampire Diaries“.
Along with thanking her “TVD” fans, Nina also expressed her appreciation for the show’s creators and the life changing role they gave her. It’s hard to keep track these days. Sorry. Four roles. But yeah, so thank you guys.
Finally, Nina spoke of change, but it was unclear whether Ms. Dobrev was speaking of The Vampire Diaries’ new season or her own life. So remember, change is coming, so hold and enjoy the ride, all right? “It’s going to be fun”.
