Two Ole Miss players had that happen to them Monday night as both defensive back Ken Webster and running back Eric Swinney needed to be carted off the field with injuries in the first half against Florida State.

Webster, a junior, leaped while covering Seminoles wide receiver Kermit Whitfield on a deep pass down the middle and landed awkwardly. The 5-foot-11, 189-pounder remained down on the field for several minutes before being carted off the field in tears – while also barking at his defensive teammates like a champ. Webster was challenging for a long Florida State pass and his left knee appeared to bend backwards on the landing and he went down immediately.
He played in 12 games as a sophomore last season, totaling 41 tackles (three of which were for a loss) and intercepting the first pass of his collegiate career.

Ole Miss was already short on running backs with Jordan Wilkins being suspended for the year due to academics.
