PM Narendra Modi Meets Deputy Crown Prince Of Saudi Arabia

Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman met Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe yesterday in the Japanese capital met in an effort to cement ties between the Gulf monarchy and the third largest economy in the world. He further invited the optimum investment, particularly under the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF).

The two sides also agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas including new renewable energies, smart cities, electronic governance and the defense industry, the presidential office said.

Presently, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, People’s Republic of China, and the United States are the five permanent members of the body.

The prime minister called for strengthened partnership with Saudi Arabia in various areas such as maritime security, infrastructure, low-priced housing and energy sector.

Saudi Arabia is eager to become a gateway to Japan and its culture in the Middle East as it seeks to deepen economic relations between the two nations, the minister of culture and information for the kingdom, Adel Zaid Altoraifi, said Friday. He met Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Australian counterpart Malcolm Turnbull on the sidelines of the Summit.

Later he held meeting with BRICS leaders where he asserted that it is a shared responsibility of the group to shape an internal agenda in such a manner that developing nations achieve their objectives.
