Everton have no interest in City goalkeeper Hart – Koeman

Claudio Bravo’s Manchester City move has been finalised, paving the way for Joe Hart to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Hart played for City in Wednesday’s Champions League qualifier against Steaua Bucharest and seemed to bid the fans an emotional farewell at the final whistle.

With his future at Manchester City seemingly bleak, Hart had been linked with a move to Everton but Toffees manager Ronald Koeman said yesterday he was not in the market for the England global. I can’t deny what I feel. It is what it is.

But plenty of elite clubs in England have top-quality goalkeepers already in place, and given the wages Hart would command, it’s understandable that some wouldn’t be too keen to bring him in.

Speaking afterward, Hart said: “We have a top manager that the club has wanted a long, long time, and he’s going to have his opinion on things”.

City completed the £13.75m signing of keeper Claudio Bravo from Barcelona yesterday.

The Toffees were strongly linked with a move but when asked about the player, Koeman said emphatically: “There’s no interest”.

Bravo’s arrival has thrown Hart’s future at the club into doubt.

Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was the latest to arrive on Thursday from Barcelona and Guardiola says his recruitment drive is over.

“But we are going to speak to the players again, I don’t know what is going on, if it is happening more often, more times than it did”.

Bravo is Chile’s most capped player on 106 worldwide appearances and was voted goalkeeper of the tournament after captaining his country to Copa America glory earlier this year. “Time shows I made mistakes at Barcelona and (Bayern) Munich, but I have to take them”, Guardiola said.

Bravo and Willy Caballero, who has started both City’s Premier League games this season, appear to be above him in the pecking order and Guardiola also has youngster Angus Gunn at his disposal. “I am so happy that today he played at the level he has”.

Now the Daily Mail are reporting that Hart, who is keen to leave on loan and open to a move overseas, is the subject of interest from Italian side Torino. I know the people there, most of the players are still there. “They are going to be in rotation, part of that”, he said.
