But Pelosi said that “too much is being made” of the story.

The FBI released notes Friday from Mrs. Clinton’s July interview in which she said on 39 occasions that she could not recall or did not understand procedures related to classified emails, nor did she know that the (C) designation stood for “confidential”. She repeatedly told FBI investigators that she “did not have guidance” on or was not trained in the proper use of sensitive e-mails. Twice in a row Kaine changed the subject to Donald Trump asking Russian Federation to find Clinton’s missing emails, suggested a connection to the DNC leak, and invoked Watergate. “Classified … and secret, and highly sensitive, is where it becomes more problematic”.

Balz added that Clinton has an “incomplete memory”, and that while people may have strong views about the emails-which isn’t good for her-this won’t significantly change those views.

She will be joined by her vice presidential pick Tim Kaine. Tim Kaine of Virginia, will speak Monday afternoon at the 11 Congressional District Community Caucus festival in Cleveland’s Luke Easter Park. This has been widely interpreted as meaning that Clinton deleted the personal emails, but her staff have declined to confirm if this is the case. During her tenure, she used a private email account to conduct official business.

She used at least eight different mobile devices to send private e-mail during her tenure as secretary of state – none of which were recovered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which said she flouted security standards for official communications by relying on private e-mail for government business.

She couldn’t give an example of how classification of a document was determined and said “she relied on career foreign service professionals to appropriately mark and handle classified information”. The FBI recommended no charges be brought against her.

In a new headache for Clinton, the Federal Bureau of Investigation summary reveals that copies of some of her work e-mails were deleted after her use of a private e-mail system was disclosed by The New York Times in March 2015. Opinion polls show that voter concerns about Clinton’s honesty and trustworthiness are among her biggest vulnerabilities. In a Reuters/Ipsos poll taken during the week of August 26 to September 1, Trump had the support of 40 percent of likely voters while Clinton had the backing of 39 percent.
