The Headphone is the follow up to the $300 Dash earpieces which are now shipping to Kickstarter backers.

The company is back with a second headphone that it simply calls The Headphone. Looking past that, it’s in many ways similar to Dash, where the two earbuds also don’t have wires and have plenty of functions.

The $119 price is a limited time preorder offer after which the cost will increase to a regular price of $149.

I’ve yet to try the Dash but will hopefully receive review samples of both The Dash and The Headphone in the coming weeks.

Following on from there successful Kickstarter campaign that raised funds to take the Bragi in-ear cordless headphones into production, the company has this week started taking pre-orders for its next set which are aptly named, The Headphone.

Can be connected to any Bluetooth device.

The Headphone will, however, allow you to make calls, allow voice to pass through with its Voice Transparency feature, and use the paired smartphone’s voice assistant.

The Headphone comes with three different FitTip sizes to ensure a comfortable fit no matter the ear size or shape. Bragi raised almost $3.3 million on its Kickstarter project to develop Dash. With Apple nearly certainly about to release the first major smartphone in years without a 3.5mm headphone jack, the time where wireless headphones – hitherto something of an oddity or luxury – become truly mainstream may be upon us.

No word on global pricing yet.

Bragi has also announced that its Bragi OS 2.1 is now available through its new Desktop Updater. It’s the second major software update for The Dash since its January 2016 launch and according to Bragi, with the update The Dash “becomes smarter, faster and better in several areas, including Bluetooth connectivity”.
