United States intelligence agencies are investigating Russian attempts to disrupt the November elections with cyber-attacks created to damage American political institutions and foster public distrust in the political process, it has been reported.

“We’ve never had the nominee of one of our major parties urging the Russians to hack”, Mrs. Clinton said in a news conference.
Clinton, speaking to reporters aboard her new campaign plane, dubbed “Hill Force One”, said this “credible report” on the probe, which the Washington Post says is being coordinated by the USA director of national intelligence, shows that we need to be “on guard to protect our electoral system at all levels and we have to make it clear that we’re not gonna let anyone interfere with decisions of the American people”. “And especially from a foreign power”, said Clinton.
The director of USA national intelligence, James Clapper, is overseeing the multi-agency probe.
Trump, the Republican nominee, has praised Putin, the president of Russian Federation, and has called on Moscow to dig up tens of thousands of “missing” emails from Clinton’s time as head of the U.S. State Department.
“Mr Putin gave a clear and unequivocal indication that we are interested in completely re-establishing our relations and dialogue in all areas, including the most sensitive ones”, he added. “I think we need leverage”, she said. “I believe a future leader must be fairly young but mature”.

Asked about potential conflicts of interest between Clinton Foundation donors and aides who worked in Mrs. Clinton’s State Department, she brought the lengthy exchange with reporters back to national security and defended her tenure as the nation’s top diplomat. Instead, she pointed to an old saying from Arkansas.
