Apple Music 12-Month Membership Gift Cards Now Available for $99

Apple, however, doesn’t offer a way for subscribers to pay for a whole year’s worth of service. The remaining 70 million listen to a free tier of service that is supported by advertisements. The company had also announced a personalized music playlist called “Discovery Mix” which is going live today for Apple Music subscribers who are beta testing the soon-to-be-released iOS 10 mobile operating system and macOS Sierra with another name.

Apple Music just became more affordable for everyone. In other words, Apple is picking up some ground and will eventually overtake Spotify if everything remains the same.

Apple has begun selling gift cards for Apple Music annual subscriptions at the discounted price of $99.

Divide this amount by 12 and you get $8.25 as the effective per month subscription rate.

The idea here is to expose Apple Music subscribers to more of the sort of songs and artists you would like, based on those you like to play – effectively, the same concept as Spotify’s “Discover Weekly”. Currently, both charge the same thing for a month of streaming music for an individual. Not all Apple Stores are selling it yet.

Both Apple and Spotify offer the same $9.99 monthly subscription, though Spotify demands a higher fee for iPhone users for certain reasons. Obviously, Apple is trying to get you to commit to a full year of streaming music.

It’s interesting because the gift card isn’t available in all Apple retail locations just yet, and it’s not available online.

With that said, you can purchase it online via PayPal’s official store on eBay or on Walmart’s online store.
