Hillary Clinton: Donald Trump ‘Did Choke’ in Meeting with Mexican President
“I don’t choke”, Trump told ABC News’ David Muir in the battleground state of OH today.

Clinton criticized Trump’s actions on the trip, saying her rival created a “diplomatic incident” when he claimed to reporters that he and Peña did not discuss who would pay for construction of a border wall. “It’s a very hard thing to do”, Trump said. Our message to the world will be this: “You can not obtain legal status or become a citizen of the United States by illegally entering our country”, he said then.
“I’m going to make a decision, or somebody will”.
“So you’re open to them staying here undocumented?” In an email, Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta said Trump “didn’t just choke” in his meeting with Pena Nieto, “he got beat in the room and lied about it”.
During his speech in Phoenix last Wednesday, he was emphatic in declaring that all undocumented immigrants would have to leave. And it’s sad. They’re fantastic men and women who do that – border patrol, law enforcement.
And when asked about Republicans who support a path to legalization without forcing immigrants to first leave the country, Trump replied, “Good question”.
Trump also made conflicting statements earlier on Monday during a press gaggle aboard his plane, on the issue of undocumented immigrants achieving legal status.
“No. To become a citizen you’re going to have to go out and come back”. “And in that speech, he’s basically saying, we’re going to deport you or self-deport you – it’s even worse than what he initially proposed”. “This isn’t touch back”, Trump replied.
Barack Obama believes that young Americans “completely reject” Republican White House hopeful Donald Trump’s tough line on immigration and that most Americans share their stance.
The Republican nominee delivered a speech last week where he said that if undocumented immigrants want to gain legal status in the USA, they must leave the country and then return. “But that’s not the majority of America”, Obama said in an interview aired on CNN.

The president said it was important to “pay close attention” when there was a rise in intolerance and calls for “banning certain classes of people”, a clear allusion to Trump’s call past year to ban all Muslims from entering the country “until we find out what’s going on”.
