Clinton, Trump have near-encounter in Ohio
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump ran virtually parallel campaigns Monday as they geared up for the final stretch of the presidential race.

“I can not believe some of the comments that are coming from the man who wants to occupy the White House”, said State Representative John Boccieri. “I don’t choke”, Trump told ABC News’ David Muir in the battleground state of OH today.
In a rare news conference aboard her new campaign plane, Clinton said she is concerned about “credible reports about Russian government interference in our elections”.
But after a few days of rest from campaigning, Clinton coughed her way through portions of her Cleveland remarks.
‘Bring back jobs, which she can’t, ‘ he said.
That’s sure to fuel critics’ claims that Clinton, 68, has serious health problems.
“The mayor today is just one example of what’s happening across this country”, Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said.
“We are going to have to take those threats and attacks seriously”, Clinton told reporters traveling with her from OH to IL.
Clinton’s 25-minute question-and-answer session was her first extensive availability with reporters since early December.
White House hopeful Hillary Clinton expressed “grave” concern Monday about reports that Russian Federation has been interfering in the U.S. electoral process through invasive cyber attacks on the Democratic Party.
She said Russian president Vladimir Putin appears “quite satisfied with himself” and Mr Trump “has generally parroted what is a Putin-Kremlin line”.
“Every time I think about Trump I get allergic”, Clinton joked.
It has been implied – by Trump and others – that this putative change of heart is at least in part due to highly publicized meetings with his “Hispanic Advisory Council”, which was called “game-changing” by Helen Aguirre Ferre, the Republican National Committee’s director of Hispanic communications.
An immigration speech Trump gave after his trip to Mexico, however, drew criticism from some of his Hispanic supporters and several backers advising him on the issue made a decision to split from his campaign. She said she and Kaine would outline their plans for office in a book being released this week. I understand there are people who may not agree with me.
She told reporters, “We are going to have to take those threats and attacks seriously”.
“The Trump train wreck is a train wreck for labor unions”.
“I expect to do all three”, Trump told reporters.
“You know what I talk about more than anything else is jobs”.
Trump, 70, trails in polling but dominated the week’s political messaging and imagery that included his visit to an African-American church in Detroit.
Trump previously had not committed to participating in the debates, objecting first to the debate dates – which overlap with National Football League games – and later saying that he would not agree until the moderators were announced.
After hinting last month that he might not participate in all of them, Trump told reporters he was on board.
CORNISH: Tamara Keith and Scott Detrow literally crossing paths in OH – the Clinton and Trump campaigns. “Look, these two went through a tough competition together”, Pence said of Trump and Kasich.
Florida and North Carolina, like OH, are critical battlegrounds in the 2016 race.
Upon stepping up on the stage and saying “Happy, happy Labor Day”, she started her coughing.

Clinton noted that behind her were labor leaders who are “always fighting for working families”.
