Slovakia defender Durica claims England win was rigged
The 23-year-old striker failed to find the back of the net in England’s 1-0 win against Slovakia in their World Cup qualifier, but insists he is not anxious about his drought.

Skrtel’s dismissal meant Slovakia played more than half an hour with 10 men in the game, which England won 1-0 through Adam Lallana’s injury-time goal.
But Adam Lallana finally made the breakthrough in injury time when he bundled home his first global goal to secure all three points in what was, arguably, England’s most hard qualifier. “I think that the referee was waiting for Skrtel to commit a foul”, said the Trabzonspor defender.
But despite suffering another frustrating evening, Kane insists his ability to dispel his “one-season wonder” label last season underlines his readiness to again prove a point with England. “We were really unhappy”, Durica, who has played more than 80 worldwide caps, said.
Of course they will always prefer the stronger team.
“Englishmen knew that they are one player more, so, logically, they began pushing forward and creating the pressure”.
Harry Kane in action for England against Slovakia. But they did not have clear chances, so that is why we regret it, the 34-year-old added.
“I will probably never take another corner”, said Kane.
In the end it was Adam Lallana who squeezed the ball through the goalkeeper’s legs to get the Sam Alllardyce era up and running. It was a silly thing for him to do because he was on a yellow. “I will have a check on it and see if it’s fully OK, but there were a few challenges that I felt could have earned him a yellow card but it didn’t come”, he told reporters.
