Donald Trump says only ‘natural disaster’ would keep him out of debates

With Labor Day behind them, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are battling over national security in the South’s top presidential battlegrounds. “I want everyone – Democrat, Republican, Independent – to understand the real threat that this represents”.

Setting the stage on Labor Day for a critical month in their testy presidential campaign, Donald Trump softened his stance on immigration while Hillary Clinton blasted Russian Federation for its suspected tampering in the US electoral process.

“She didn’t have the energy to go to Louisiana”.

Representatives for the Trump campaign didn’t respond to requests for comment.

Under extensive criticism from her rival and journalists for not holding a full press conference in nine months, she answered questions for more than 22 minutes on several topics, including tensions with Russian Federation over accusations of cyber-espionage.

It has been months since Mrs. Clinton gave a full-fledged news conference, so there was considerable pressure on her to engage an extended back-and-forth like she did on the plane. ‘Now, as I get over my allergic reaction, ‘ she said, moving on from her introductory statement.

A look at the many topics discussed by both the nominees on their Labor Day jaunts around OH and IL.

A number of cybersecurity experts have said Russian hackers have been involved in numerous hacks of the Democratic Party.

The former secretary of state said she is concerned about “credible reports about Russian government interference in our elections”. Some officials believe a number of the breaches have similar digital fingerprints to past intrusions carried out by Russia-linked hackers, but officials haven’t determined whether the attacks amount to simply intelligence gathering or represent an attempt to influence the outcome of the election.

“I take classification seriously”, she said.

“They even went after my foundation last week”, Clinton said.

Clinton expressed “grave” concern about reports that Russian Federation has been interfering in the United States electoral process through invasive cyber attacks on the Democratic Party and an apparent attack on voter registration systems in Arizona.

As she charged that he is “temperamentally unfit” and “totally unqualified” to be president her cough got the best of her for a second time – blunting what may have otherwise been an effective attack on her opponent.

“I’m going to continue to focus on what we’re doing to create jobs here at home”, Clinton said. But she suggested that the facts on the table were hardly a coincidence.

She said Russian President Vladimir Putin appears “quite satisfied with himself” and said Trump “has generally parroted what is a Putin-Kremlin line”. He clapped along with the crowd as she pushed ahead. “I did them with the (primary candidates) – I guess 11 debates”.

Clinton noted a “legislative blockade problem” but said the next administration should try to shutter the US prison. She alluded to the legislative bar on bringing prisoners to USA soil.

Just a week after traveling to Mexico for his first global trip as the nominee, and then returning across the U.S. border to deliver a nativist immigration speech, he assailed Clinton for having “no plan” on immigration.

“He came out saying one thing and the Mexican president contradicted him nearly immediately”, Clinton told ABC News in an interview in an apparent reference to the contradictory statements between Trump and Nieto after their meeting last week.

“I think the mayor is just one example that’s happening across this country where voters who traditionally haven’t voted Republican or haven’t voted in a very long time seem to be coming out to support this messenger and this message”, Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s campaign manager, told reporters. And she doesn’t have the energy or the stamina to bring ’em back. “We’re going to be here a lot”.
