Eagles shed another Chip Kelly draft pick, trade cornerback to Patriots
ESPN’s Adam Schefter was the first to report the news, with NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport adding news of the draft pick being part of the deal.

There are rumors the Eagles may be trying to move Kine for a draft pick.
Rowe, 23, started the final five games of his rookie year and displayed flashes of success.
The Eagles have reportedly been shopping Rowe this summer, as he’s reportedly had trouble adjusting to the new scheme set in place by new defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz. As a result, he signed a two-year contract extension in November.
Ironically, Rowe’s start last season came in the Eagles’ upset win over the Patriots, Dec. 6 when he took over at cornerback for an injured Nolan Carroll, who suffered a fractured fibula the week before against the Detroit Lions. Kelly was dumped a few weeks later, in spite of the 35-28 victory.
The Patriots entered training camp with offensive line questions but clearly feel comfortable letting go of Kline, who started 13 regular-season games and both playoff contests. The projected top contestants for the starting role – Jonathan Cooper and Shaq Mason – have battled injuries, which made veteran Josh Kline a logical replacement. But it appears that Kelly shouldn’t buy a condo in Philly just yet.

The draft pick the Eagles will receive is the Patriots’ fourth-round selection in 2018. It’s a fairly steep price, even for a former second-round pick.
