In a report published on Monday (Aug 29), The Post said: “While Abedin travels the country campaigning for Democratic presidential candidate Clinton, the ex-congressman was exchanging lewd and sexually explicit texts and photographs with an unidentified woman past year”.
The Democrat quit Congress in 2011 following revelations that he was sending women sexually explicit messages. Few major decisions in the campaign are made without Ms. Abedin’s input, and she remains an important back-channel in the Clinton orbit of friends, political allies and donors.

Indeed, Gearan reports, photographs of Abedin on various Clinton campaign stops suggest she hasn’t worn a wedding ring for weeks. He and his wife both have stressful jobs that probably keep them separated a lot of the time, and on the scale of shitty things to do to a romantic partner, sexting is relatively low compared to, say, cheating and giving your partner an STD.

Weiner has not commented, but Donald Trump did. “Huma has a very strong moral character, and she made a commitment for better or worse”. She worked as Clinton’s personal assistant during a run for president in 2008 and then as chief-of-staff while she was Secretary of State, and Clinton has said Abedin is like a second daughter.
