Tim Tebow shows solid power, shaky skills in Major League Baseball workout
When former quarterback Tim Tebow conducts a workout for major league teams this morning in Los Angeles, the Detroit Tigers will be among the teams watching.

The Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball in Bridgeport, Conn. announced Wednesday that they have formally offered Tebow a contract to play during the 2016 season.
The respected five-time Venezuelan league champion Aguilas del Zulia has reportedly already sent the contract to Tebow’s agents.
“He’s a great talent”, Aguilas general manager Luis Amaro said, according to Yahoo.
“I think if there’s one thing Tim Tebow for sure has it’s a tremendous work ethic, a tremendous desire and a tremendous competitive nature. I think it’s low risk, high reward for Zulia”.
“I didn’t know he had played his junior year of high school”, Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews said, admitting to reporters he had learned about Tebow’s latest endeavor on ESPN that morning. “He also ran fairly well, but his fielding and his ability to hit against former professional pitchers trying to get him out looked somewhat suspect”.
Tebow is scheduled to try out for a number of Major League Baseball teams Tuesday in Los Angeles.
“The 60-yard dash is nice, but guys get to the big leagues because they can hit”, a scout who was not authorized to speak publicly told USA TODAY Sports. Even while he got an extended look past year from the Philadelphia Eagles, who cut him after the preseason, Tebow said his mind already had wandered back to baseball. So it’s not just that one day. Instead, this is about pursuing something that he loves. A lot goes into it, so you’d better show something.

Scouts in attendance told USA Today that Tebow graded out well defensively from a movement perspective, though his throws lacked bite, which was the same criticism he endured in the National Football League as a quarterback. I wish him the best and we’ll see how it goes.
