Separation anxiety: Bill Clinton eyes exit from his charity
When Hillary Clinton was confirmed as President Barack Obama’s Secretary of State, the Clinton-Chagoury friendship advanced to the point that Bill Clinton’s closest aide to pushed for Chagoury to meet with top US diplomats, and the USA government is considering the construction of a multi-million-dollar consulate on Chagoury owned land in Lagos, Nigeria.

Here’s how it works: Since 2001, when he left office, Bill Clinton’s representatives have requested $16 million from the General Services Administration (GSA) under the Former President’s Act.
The funds, about $97,000 per year per president, are part of an allocation that helps former presidents maintain an office after they leave public service.
Flynn added there are “lots of different ways” to mask donations and have them land in the Clinton Foundation’s bank account. But the emails and previous reporting suggest Mr. Trump has reason to say that while Mrs. Clinton was secretary, it was hard to tell where the foundation ended and the State Department began.
The Act is meant to pay for a former president’s pension, travel expenses and staff. Politico reports that salaries for the staffers were subsidized by up to $10,000 a year by the program.
As an advisor to Bill Clinton, he also helped hammer out the agreement with the Obama administration for vetting Bill Clinton speeches with the State Department for possible conflicts while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state.
Griffin did note that, “Since 2008, President Bill Clinton has given back any funds that he did not use to the GSA”.
“The idea that the State Department would even consider a diplomatic passport for Clinton Foundation executives is beyond belief”, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement.
A huge story broke by Politico early Thursday morning exposes how Bill Clinton exploited a federal program for former president to grease the wheels of the Clinton Foundation. There is no legal prohibition that would preclude the former president’s staff from receiving compensation from other sources or doing personal work for the former presidents.
“As explained to @politico, the server they reference is not an e-mail server”. Another point of contention was a $7,700 purchase for a Dell server and other equipment used to maintain a Lockheed Martin Intranet Quorum database system that was used by the former president to handle his correspondences. The foundation also said it would not accept corporate or foreign donations if the Democratic nominee wins in November.
Campaign spokesman Brian Fallon said the Politico story is “egregiously false” and that they expect a correction from the outlet.

The poll, which was conducted August 24-29, via landlines and cellphones, and which included 1,000 likely voters, was published on the heels of Bill Clinton’s promise that he will resign from the Clinton Foundation board if Hillary Clinton wins the White House in November.
