Metrolink’s AV Line 212, the Antelope Valley Line, was stopped Tuesday due to the crash, according to Metrolink.
Those injured have been taken to hospitals with injuries that are not life threatening, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD). The driver of truck was not injured. Dozens of firefighters and medical personnel were on the scene, triaging the train’s 187 passengers, fire department spokesman Erik Scott said.
Firefighter-paramedics responded to the 8200 block of San Fernando Road about 10: 40 a.m. and were assessing patients in a staging area near the six-car train. Almost 190 passengers were on board the six train cars affected by the crash.
No serious injuries have been reported.
