Nick Saban was hardly satisfied after Alabama’s historic drubbing of USC

Alabama redshirt freshman Blake Barnett, who started the game, returned and led two scoring drives.

Hurts, the dynamic true freshman quarterback, combined on 150 yards of total offense and four total touchdowns as the top-ranked Crimson Tide rolled over No. 20 Southern California in a 52-6 blowout in Saturday’s season opener from AT&T Stadium. They have won 9 straight season openers with Nick Saban, but let’s think about the possibilities and chances of what could be a really unbelievable game on either side. “We’ve got to make the corrections extremely fast”.

“We had some good momentum in the first half”, Browne said, “and we should’ve done a good job of continuing that”. “FOX gave me an opportunity to be around it and we’ll see where it goes from there”. He was sacked with a 3-2 record last October, leaving his overall coaching record at 46-35. We still need to get more guys who can play winning football and create more depth on our team.

When Jalen Hurts found a wide-open ArDarius Stewart for an easy 71-yard touchdown pass on Alabama’s third play of the half, it came partly due to a defensive blunder.

“He had the hiccup at the beginning, bit it was his first game, he turned the page and got back on it”, Stewart said of the young quarterback.

Bo Scarbrough ran for a touchdown from two yards out and Barnett hit Gehrig Dieter for or a 45-yeard score.

Given the way ‘Bama rolled over USC’s defense on Saturday, one wonders how much extra help the program needs offensively.

With a defense that is still dominating after four players were taken in the first two rounds of the National Football League draft last spring, Alabama has more leeway in getting things settled at quarterback. It will definitely take some miracles for USC to break through Alabama’s offense and defense, but it’s a new season and big moments can happen at any time.

Saban announced during a Monday press conference he hired Sarkisian, adding he’s “glad to have [Sarkisian] as part of the organization”. It’s the flawless Week 1 feeling: You look like the best team in the country, but you also look like you can get even better. How can we get better?

Alabama not only won convincingly, it has the chance to look even better in the coming weeks. And I’m proud of our team for beating a good team. “Y’all never asked, but I wouldn’t have told you if you would have asked, but you didn’t ask”.
