Rio Olympics Bronze Medalist Sakshi Malik To Marry Friend Satyawart Kadian
As the plaudits keep flowing for Sakshi Malik for her medal-winning performance at the Rio Olympics, her family announced that she would be marrying fellow wrestler Satyawart Kadian.

The 22-year-old Satyawart is also an worldwide wrestler and has won silver at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 97kg Freestyle category and also clinched a bronze at the Asian Championships, in the same year. And the groom for this wrestler bride is also an global level wrestler.
According to a report in India Today, Sachin, who is Sakshi’s brother, said that Sakshi will tie the knot with another wrestler Satyawart Kadian.
Satyawart’s father Satyawan was a renowned wrestler himself and now runs an akhada in Rohtak. “Satyawart trains here in my akhada when he is not competing or in the national camp”.

Sakshi won the bronze medal in women’s freestyle 58kg category after defeating Kyrgyzstan’s Aisuluu Tynybekova 8-5.
Interestingly, Satyawart was among the first people to congratulate the Rohtak girl for winning bronze at Rio.
On his Facebook page, Satyawart wrote “My Sweetheart #SakshiMalik?You have made us proud”. Satyawart is two years younger to Sakshi who turned 24 on Saturday.
Satyawart’s first major medal at an worldwide event was when he won the bronze medal in the boys’ freestyle 100 kg category at the debut Youth Olympics in Singapore.

Kadian, who is also an global level wrestler, has won silver at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, and bronze at the Incheon Asian Games, which were held the same year.
