Leonard Robinson, 51, of Ownings Mill, Md., apparently had an engine problem with his custom-made (batmobile) while traveling on Interstate 70 near Hagerstown.

After the video went viral, Robinson, who called himself the president of Superheros for Kids, Inc., obtained a custom replica of the George Barris Batmobile of 1960s television fame which he took to children’s hospitals, auto shows and other family-friendly events throughout the region. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
“He was magic”, said Laurie Strongin, the founder of Hope for Henry, an organization that throws superhero parties for children in hospitals.
Police say the Lamborghini was “partially in the fast lane” and Robinson was checking the engine when the vehicle was hit by a Toyota Camry. “When I asked him to do anything, he always said yes”.

While on his way to visit sick children in 2012, he made headlines after Montgomery County police officers released images of the traffic stop they conducted in Silver Spring on his Lamborghini, which didn’t have tags. A wealthy local in the Maryland area, three years ago he quickly became an internet sensation when he was filmed whilst being pulled over by the police in full Batman attire next to his black Gallardo Batmobile.
