No. 1 basketball recruit DeAndre Ayton chooses Arizona over Kentucky, Kansas
DeAndre Ayton is not fooling anyone about how long he will play college basketball.

Kentucky has yet to land a commitment in the 2017 class.
Ayton’s finalists are Kentucky, Arizona and Kansas. “I’ve made Arizona home here at Hillcrest Prep”.
The 7-foot-1 245-pound Ayton is a native of the Bahamas who attends Hillcrest Academy in Phoenix.
1-ranked player in the 2017 high school basketball recruiting class, announced on Twitter Tuesday afternoon that he will be revealing the identity of his future school on ESPN’s SportsCenter at 5 p.m. “My mom and I – my family and I – can benefit from it by coming to my games”. We really trust their program. With Ayton already locked up, Miller can now focus on bringing in some more of those elite guards to pair with him next season. “But I truly don’t know at this point”, his tweet said.

Ayton does not have a polished low-post game, but he has great hands and the kind of power to help him grow into a solid one-on-one scorer along the baseline in the way Karl-Anthony Towns did in his one year at Kentucky. “He can also make short and mid-range jump shots”. But when Ayton spoke to reporters at the Nike-sponsored Peach Jam summer basketball event in July, he maintained that he wanted to play college basketball and he was told he was “on track” to do so. “I just want a relationship with a coach and have a good year in college and that’s it”. I want to see the full experience at Kansas.
