Jio’s 4G network will likely cover 2 lakh villages including 18,000 cities and towns in the country.

The company’s management is targeting towards its 4G network covering 90 per cent of India’s 1.25 billion population by March 2017.

At a Reliance Jio shop in Khanna market in Central Delhi, costumers were given tokens and the SIMS were issued after 11 am. “Your apps and downloads can be happening when you sleep at night at no cost to you”.
This verification is a must before buying the 4G SIM. However, note that you can only port your number once in six months.
Earlier, Reliance Jio 4G SIMs were available only at Reliance Digital stores.
Putting it in a perspective, the leading financial services group said the average Bharti Airtel customer today spends Rs 196 per month, consumes 414 mins of voice (for incoming and outgoing calls) and gets 200 MB of data.

Reliance Industries has promised free calls and data services till December 31 on its Jio network and begins with rock-bottom tariff plans from January 1. In the next couple of weeks or months, Reliance Jio will have more 4G subscribers than the combined 4G subscriber base of Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone. Bharti Airtel shares closed off the day’s low, ending 6.3 per cent lower at Rs 310.85 whereas Idea shares closed 10.5 percent lower. Indian Government had rolled out nationwide MNP (Mobile Number Portability) in July a year ago and every telecom carrier is bound to allow you to migrate to another carrier of your choice while retaining your old number. The main intention of the Reliance company is to provide huge data or voice calls benefit at a low cost. The growth will be led by the increasing penetration of low-priced 4G devices and rapidly growing eco-system of content, aided by falling data prices, according to an Economic Times report.
