Francois, No. 4 Florida St rally past No. 11 Ole Miss

At one point he had back-to-back turnovers in the third quarter.

WHAT WE’LL BE TALKING ABOUT: It’s nearly inconceivable Florida State could score 33 consecutive points on Ole Miss.

Then September’s brutal beginning continues with Alabama. That’s what a game manager does; they’re playmakers. “You can see it in practice, the plays that he’s making”.

Francois finished 33 of 52 through the air. “That’s our motto this year: ‘Just keep chopping'”. The opening episode of will feature footage from Monday’s game.

Tight end Ryan Izzo was critical in the second half against Ole Miss. “His teammates believe in him, and he’s a fighter, and he’s a competitor, which I’m very proud of”. “We did not deserve to win the game the way we played the second half”. When Kermit Whitfield scored on a jet sweep in the third, Florida State went with an unbalanced line, to which the Rebels responded- and the ‘Noles simply used their fastest player to run away from the vast majority of the defense. “That’s one of the best teams in the nation”.

But early on? Not so much. The final score was 45-34 in favor of Florida State.

“Jimbo (Fisher) and I were talking before the game, there was going to be a good football team that walked out of here tonight not feeling well, and it’s us”, Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze said. “And once we got it, we kept it”. He started every week, recording 41 tackles and one interception.

With the tide turning in FSU’s favor early in the third, Walker ripped through Ole Miss’ offensive line, got his arms around Kelly and didn’t lose his grip when the elusive Rebel quarterback tried to escape. The Rebels had rolled up 312 yards of offense and looked unstoppable.

The spread had the Seminoles leading by 4.5. Defensive lineman Demarcus Walker totaled 4 1/2 sacks.

Florida State: Francois is definitely the real deal. Another name that is not to be forgotten is that of RB, Dalvin Cook who rushed for 91 yards on 21 attempts but managed to catch seven passes for 101. Both turnovers resulted in Florida State touchdowns as the Seminoles took a 29-28 lead and never looked back while scoring on nine consecutive possessions between late in the first half and into the fourth quarter. Brown and Evan Engram, Damore’ea Stringfellow hauled in a slant from Kelly to cap a six-play 75-yard drive less than two minutes after kickoff. The whole game. We got the best running back in the whole damn league.

His answer? Watch the show. It might get bad for you, Colorado State. I kind of get it, though. The Buccaneers are coming off their win against Kentucky State.

When asked about the contents of his halftime speech to the Seminoles, who entered the locker room down 28-13 to Ole Miss, Fisher admitted it contained profanity captured by the Showtime film crew embedded with the team. Ken Webster is out for the season with a knee injury, Eric Swinney appears to be out for an extended period of time with a knee injury as well. He was carted off the field early in the first quarter. I was a little surprised that Tony (Conner) struggled some as well.

Anytime a freshman in his first start can throw for over 400 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions, it’s a victory at least for him.
