But Kay isn’t optimistic about Trump’s chances in the swing states, pointing out that he doesn’t have a consistent lead in any of them and his campaign is struggling to get itself organized on the ground.

Clinton on Monday expressed concern about “credible reports” of Russian interference in the USA election and accused Donald Trump of being fixated on dictators including Russia’s Vladimir Putin.

The CNN poll found independent voters give Trump a bump, with 49 percent saying they’d vote for him.

With Libertarian Gary Johnson and Green Party nominee Jill Stein factored in, Trump leads Clinton 53 percent to 31 percent with Johnston at 8 percent and Stein at 2 percent.

ABC’s David Muir pressed Trump, asking if he was referring to “aesthetics”.

With Monday’s Labor Day holiday kicking off the final dash to Election Day, Clinton took pains to make herself more than available to reporters traveling with her, after almost nine months without holding a formal press conference.

Top surrogate Rudy Giuliani, a former mayor of New York City, has said people should “go online” and look up “Hillary Clinton illness” to find stories about her health.

But Trump on Tuesday, surrounded by military veterans, repeated his view that Russian Federation could be a useful ally in the fight against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), rather than an antagonistic force the nation is now viewed as by both sides of Washington’s foreign policy establishment. But what does that mean?

Trump “has generally parroted what is a Putin-Kremlin line”, Clinton told reporters Monday, adding that he lacks the experience and temperament to face the nation’s global challenges.

The former secretary of state flatly said “No”, when asked in an ABC News interview whether she’d be willing to accept the Mexican president’s invitation to visit the country, as Trump did last week.

“Hillary likes to play tough with Russia”, Trump said. “Every time I think about Trump I get allergic”, she said in the midst of her coughing fit during a Cleveland rally, Ohio. Clinton powered through a coughing fit at a Labor Day festival at a Cleveland park, sharply criticizing Trump’s recent trip to Mexico as “an embarrassing worldwide incident”.

Clinton shot back by recalling Trump’s meeting with Mexico’s President Enrique Peña Nieto and their clash over Trump’s plan to have Mexico pay for a border wall. “What happened is what we call a diplomatic incident, because he came out saying one thing and the Mexican president came out and contradicted him, nearly immediately”, Clinton said. Trump said of Carly Fiorina, in an interview with Rolling Stone past year. “You need energy, man”, Trump told reporters.

“Does she look presidential, fellas?”

Spokeswoman Katrina Pierson, for example, said last month that Clinton has brain damage that impairs her communication abilities. He says, “it was discussed that it wouldn’t be discussed, but they know my stance and I know their stance”.

The Wisconsin Republican also used the interview to blast the Obama administration’s decision to hand over $400 million in cash to the Iranian government in conjunction with the release of American prisoners earlier this year.
