“You have a very rare site here with the Pappan’s Ferry Landing, and it’s an opportunity for us to tell a different story here than is really told anywhere else”, said National Park Service Ranger Carol Clark.

Today, there are 58 national parks in every corner of the country, from Alaska to Florida and from ME to Hawaii. The newest national park is in the northeast state of Maine. “I can’t imagine doing anything else but working for the National Park Service and I’ve been absolutely thrilled to have been here as superintendent for the past six years”, said Dan Brown, Park Superintendent of Gulf Islands National Seashore.
