Watch Rihanna Perform a Medley of Hits at the 2016 MTV VMAs
Sure, that was a pretty insane way to open up the show, but Rihanna managed to top her opening number with more medleys throughout the night, including a mashup of “Work”, “Rude Boy”, and “What’s My Name” and later a performance of “Needed Me”, “Pour It Up”, and “B***h Better Have My Money”. Rihanna is set to receive this year’s Video Vanguard Award-putting on a prestigious list of recipients that includes names like Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Kanye West, and Beyoncé.

She later returned to the Madison Square Garden stage to belt out tracks like “Work”, “Needed Me”, “Stay”, and “Diamonds” before she was presented with the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award by her frequent collaborator and rumoured boyfriend Drake.
Canadian born Rapper, Drake met with the family of his on and off girlfriend, Rihanna. Later in the evening, she rocked a gold sequin ensemble as she accepted three awards, including Best Female Video and Best R&B Video for “Crazy in Love”.
Drake was bestowed the honor of introducing the award and personally handing it to Rihanna. She also performed “Formation”, whose video won the Video of the Year award. “All my adult life, I’ve looked up to her even though she’s younger than me”. Let us know in the comments.
“Today the world knows Little X as Director X, they know me as Drake and not the kid singing while you order pasta”.
Who knows if Drake and Rihanna will ever end up together (again).
