Leafs name Lemaire special assignment coach
It was at assumed – although not tested until eventually Friday – that is actually Jacques Lemaire, past close friend of Lou Lamoriello and since-retired coach of one’s New Jersey Devils, is arriving as part of the team by using Lou and of course the Toronto Maple Leafs for your 2015overvallen2016 spell.

Lemaire, who turns 70 in September, most recently held the same position with the Devils but had not spoken with new general manager Ray Shero about his future with the team.
“It’s hard to say exactly”. Lemaire said he was looking forward to teaming up with Babcock again after helping him win gold in 2010.
There are no negatives to having Lemaire as a member of the coaching staff in Toronto.
Lemaire has won 11 Stanley Cups over the course of his Hall of Fame career. He expects to be at training camp and work with not only Babcock but AHL Toronto Marlies coach Sheldon Keefe and his staff.
It wasn’t immediately clear what Lemaire’s role will be on coach Mike Babcock’s staff, as he joins assistants D.J. Smith, Jim Hiller and Andrew Brewer and goaltending coach Steve Briere. “But I’ll be watching all the games (in person or on TV)”. When the Devils visited the Lightning near his place in Tampa Bay, he’d attend, or come to watch the Bolts play a team that had interest for Jersey. “I haven’t had the chance to talk to the new people [with the Devils]”.
Born in 1945, the 69 year old LeMaire spent his entire National Hockey League playing career with the Montreal Canadiens, spanning from 1967 to 1979.

The 69-year-old said his friendship with Lamoriello made joining the Leafs an easy choice. Since then, he has worked for the Devils as a special assignment coach and, perhaps, Lamoriello’s most-trusted confidant.
