Being a mother to three daughters, the woman was unable to digest the fact that her sister-in-law had given birth to a son, the police said. Police were called in after hospital employees failed to find Anmol. His father, Sarvesh Kumar of Indergarh Kannauj, and mother Alka had gone home on Sunday night leaving him in Sarita Devi’s care, police said.
“Then we slept but when I woke up again at 5:30am to check the baby, he was missing”. Police zeroed in on Sarita as they examined the CCTV footage, while a ward boy found the baby tangled in the vegetation and rushed him for treatment.
Having a closer look, the police found the baby boy entangled in an iron grill. He suffered injuries on head and other parts of the body. He is being treated for the injuries.
The woman was caught by hospital’s CCTV camera in which she is clearly seen walking out with the baby.
The aunt has claimed that she was overpowered supernatural powers to commit crime.
