Google recently added a PIN unlock feature within the developer channels for the Chrome OS platform, so it’s obvious that the company is stepping up its game when it comes to the security of these devices. But at least they’re working on this. However to Google’s credit, they have made some pretty decent strides over the years at trying to improve Chrome’s battery life. Today, the search giant is claiming that the latter improvement is more significant that I had hoped, with Chrome 53 providing two hours of additional video playback time in Vimeo. The new battery test may not mean much to the majority of people. “Whether you’re planning a vacation or getting work done, you now get more browsing time from a single battery charge”.
