The 4th Annual Chevrolet Silverado from Canadian Tire Motorsports Park took two hours and six minutes to complete.

Immediately after the race Custer charged at Nemechek and tackled him into the ground in epic fashion. There were six cautions for a total of 18 laps.

An epic final lap in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in Canada has ended with an awesome crash tackle.

Officials reviewed the finish and gave the win to Nemechek. The pair were quickly separated, some shouting was exchanged and Custer retreated across the track and over a barrier.

Custer who started from the pole led a race-high 39 laps.

But Nemechek was defiant, saying his actions were just part of the the sport. As the fight was broken up, Custer – rightfully so – showed true emotion for the first time since he began competing full-time in the Truck Series. Not only was the race decided by a nose-specifically the nose of a truck that was pinning another truck into Mosport’s outer wall-but it was capped off by a insane fight along the pit straight. Custer is too far behind in points to make the playoffs without a victory.

MI victor Brett Moffitt started the day sixth at the road course, but finished 16th after picking up a sponsor for the weekend’s race, something uncommon this year for Red Horse Racing.

2016 Rookie of the Year CandidatesNo. “Rubbin’ is racin'”, John Nemechek said. There is only one contest left before the eight-driver Chase field is finalized on September 16th at Chicagoland Speedway.
