The coffee giant began testing brunch at 78 stores in the greater Portland and Seattle area on August 27, according to a blog post by Starbucks expert Starbucks Melody. The weekend-only menu includes standard fare like baked French toast and two different cage-free-egg quiche options (spinach and Swiss, or bacon and Swiss), but the real star is plainly the Belgian waffles that come topped with fresh blueberries, powdered sugar, and syrup.

This isn’t the first time Starbucks tested out a brunch menu in select cities, according to Starbucks Melody, but for our sake, we hope it becomes a nationwide menu staple.

The Portland and Seattle Starbucks stores offer brunch dishes on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m.to 2 p.m. – customers can order the food at the counter along with their coffees.

Here’s a sneak peek of what brunch at Starbucks involves, just LOOK at those waffles. Instead, like the rest of the coffee chain’s food and baked goods, they’ll arrive each morning and be stored inside the display case.

Still, the verdict on the waffles, according to Starbucks Melody, is that they “are the flawless combination of sweet, crunchy, and flaky”.
