Adobe’s Creative Cloud will be the recipient of several new upgrades by the end of the year, Adobe announced Tuesday at the 2016 IBC Conference. GPU technology will also speed up rendering compositions. Along with major performance improvements, the updates include new improvements to its VR video workflow as well as updates to its beta Character Animator software. The efficiency gains purportedly come from Adobe Stock’s ability to send watermarked footage at HD or UHD resolution directly to Premiere projects (eliminating the need to scale low-res footage after it’s licensed), the editor’s ability to license footage from inside Premiere, and Adobe Stock’s automatic application of non-destructive changes and effects to all instances of the clip.

Broad file format support is one of the key strengths of Adobe Premiere Pro. Additionally, the data in Team Projects will be securely hosted in the cloud and media files referenced by Team Projects can be locally stored source files or shared lightweight proxies.
