Most oppose Trump’s wall, split on immigration
The airplanes of Trump and his running mate, Mike Pence, were parked on the tarmac as Clinton and her vice presidential pick, Tim Kaine, arrived in separate planes at the city’s airport.

Clinton in the past had said that she deleted some 30,000 emails which were personal related to things like yoga and marriage planning.
Now, Clinton is estimated to have the support of 45.4 per cent of decided voters, followed closely by Trump at 42.2 per cent. And in key swing states, there have been fewer polls showing Clinton up by eye-popping double digit margins, in contrast to early August.
Despite signs the race is narrowing – the CNN/ORC national poll showed her two points behind Trump among likely voters – Clinton’s insists she’s not rattled.
They know they can count on me to be the kind of commander in chief who will protect our country and our troops, and they know they cannot count on Donald Trump, Clinton said en route to Florida.
Neither New Yorker vying for the presidency is expected to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the September 11th attacks with a visit to the site where two hijacked airliners took down the World Trade Center towers and killed thousands of people.
But the Democratic nominee may have the advantage when the Electoral College is concerned.
He says Hillary Clinton, like any president, needs a “solid partner” in the White House.
Beyond that, the demographic where Trump runs strongest – non college-educated white men – is dropping as a share of the electorate each year. Try it out here.
Our veterans deserve better, reads a line at the end of the ad, which is airing in Ohio, Florida, Iowa, Nevada and Pennsylvania.
Overall, more voters would trust Clinton to make the right decisions about the use of nuclear weapons (44 percent), but a quarter would not trust either her or Trump to handle these issues. But the one way to put the race in reach for Trump, she said, “is to assume that it’s out of reach”.
“I will fight for Detroit, for Chicago, for Baltimore, and for every neglected part of this nation – and I will fight to bring us all together as one American people”, Trump told a packed rally in Greenville, North Carolina, in a departure from his typical bare-knuckled approach. Still, the survey provides the most comprehensive polling data of all 50 states we have available. With assistance from teleprompters, he has becomed more disciplined as a candidate, but he has yet to convince voters in swing states, where Clinton leads most polls, that he is fit to be president. A recent IBD/TIPP poll showed that just 37 per cent of Americans considered Clinton honest and trustworthy, compared to 62 per cent who did not.
The individual state samples vary in size from about 550 to more than 5,000, allowing greater opportunities than typical surveys to look at different groups within the population and compare them from state to state, The Washington Post said on Tuesday.
Clinton “probably knows how to find them”, he said. But Democrats have dreamed of doing even better, hoping that Trump’s unpopularity could carry Clinton to a nationwide landslide.
In order to succeed where 17 Republican candidates failed to beat Trump, Clinton must maintain an incessant focus on her unpredictable rival and persuade voters that he lacks the temperament, character and knowledge required of a potential commander-in-chief.
Republicans, too, have questioned Trump’s capacity to serve as commander in chief.
If Trump doesn’t manage to pry at least one of the above states out of Clinton’s hands, his loss is assured.

Clinton’s lead evaporated despite a challenging month for Trump, which saw an overhaul of his campaign staff, announcements of support for Clinton from several high-profile Republicans and criticism of his campaign strategy.
