Netanyahu and Abbas willing to meet, but blame each other
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Tuesday that a proposed meeting in Moscow with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not be held for now.

“The Palestinians want Acre, Jaffa and Tel Aviv”, he said, according to quotes reported by Israel National News and confirmed by Netanyahu’s spokesman.
Mikhail Bogdanov, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Special Envoy for the Middle East, stated after convening with a Palestinian delegation that the talks with both parties are ongoing regarding the meeting.
“I was supposed to go directly from here to Moscow to meet with Mr. Netanyahu”.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met Polish President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw on Tuesday to discuss the peace process in the Middle East.
“Vigorous efforts [are being made] in all directions”, Bogdanov said. “Therefore, there is no meeting on the scheduled date”.
Ms Bishop told Mr Netanyahu, leader of the country’s right-wing Likud party, that Australia and Israel enjoy a deep friendship, recognising the contribution Australia’s Jewish community make to the nation. The two men have established a new party, Think, that is expected to contest in the 2017 Dutch elections as a party for immigrants.
A Dutch-Turkish lawmaker who refused to shake hands with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel rejected claims from the local media that his behavior was anti-Semitic. He said that he relayed that message again to Bogdanov.
Abbas’ office has not immediately commented on the move.
“The real question is whether Abu Mazen is willing to meet us without preconditions and we are hearing conflicting reports on that”, he said.
But he said the talks had been postponed indefinitely “after Israel’s decision to take a pause and have a think about agreeing”.
