The Cupertino, CA-based company is live at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, where it is showing off the latest iPhone models and other things it has been working on this past year, including the latest update to its iOS mobile operating system. This golden master release can be downloaded as an update from the Watch app on an iPhone, or its appropriate configuration file can be downloaded from Apple’s Developer Center. watchOS 3 GM should be the final release we see before an official release of watchOS 3 is made public. watchOS 3’s public release date is set for next week, September 13th. Apple already launched both developer and public beta programs allowing users to try out the software over the summer. Late last month, about 88 percent of Apple’s mobile devices on the market were running iOS 9, the company’s mobile software from past year.

In iOS 10 you can use 3D Touch for shortcuts, and Messages includes new features like Invisible Ink, Handwriting, Digital Touch (something we saw early on in the Apple Watch), smart emoji predictions while typing and even image search to help you find just the right image to send. Apple CEO Tim Cook described Home is a “huge moment for home automation”, adding that almost all major manufacturers support the app.
