Apple Expected to Reveal New iPhone on September 7

There’s the possibility that Apple may introduce the next-generation Apple Watch, and that the Macbook Pro might finally be getting a refresh after four years. If that happens, owners of the newest iPhones will have to rely on Bluetooth-enabled headsets. The next iPhone, which would be the iPhone 7 if it follows convention, may include new color options and lack a headphone jack, reports have said. The iPhone 7 likely won’t deliver any breakthrough technological features but users can expect to see substantial camera improvements and enhanced internals. Also the device will no longer house the 3.5-mm audio jack. A lot has already been rumored about the iPhone 7. Its headline simply reads “See you on the 7th”, and the invitation makes no mention of the iPhone or any other Apple product.

Experts predict the company will roll out the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus as well as a new Apple Watch.

It’s also unclear if Apple will bundle them with the iPhone 7 or sell them optionally.

The iPhone 7 will reportedly feature a 4.7-inch 3D touch display, whereas the iPhone 7 Plus is likely to feature a larger 5.5-inch display.

There’s also a lone black dot, which could mean a new “Space Black” color for the iPhone.

So now that we know the launch event and the probable release date of the iPhone 7, where will the event be? The new devices will come with a set of Lightning EarPods, which will use the same port as the Lightning charger.

Usually South Africans have had to wait until November/December for the latest iPhone but past year Apple brought us the handset in October.
