It looks like the last and final “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 13 will be full of revelations and comebacks of some of the favorite characters.

It is now safe to assume that Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) and April Kepner (Sarah Drew) will be in an amicable, if not loving co-parenting situation when the medical drama returns. Show runner Shonda Rhimes tells Entertainment Weekly that Arizona’s new love interest will be introduced carefully so that it’s natural. Callie has long moved on from Arizona and was happily in a new relationship.

The showrunner said that for April and Jackson, season 13 will explore “in a much lighter way what it means to be uncoupled, to be divorced, and to have a kid”. Meanwhile, there are rumors that some other original characters such as Izzie (Katherine Heigl) or Cristina (Sandra Oh) could be returning to the series as well. But now that they have a child to take care, should fans expect that they get back together in “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 13? The on again/off again relationship of April and Jackson is also one of the most anticipated plots for this season. To recall, Kelly McCreary, who portrays Dr. Margaret Pierce, first hinted the return of the 45-year-old star when she said that the coming season will focus on original characters. Even though no one from the production or creative team has ever confirmed it, Meredith will allegedly again come face-to-face with death in the upcoming season and this time she will actually go through it already.

September is here and now fans of “Grey’s Anatomy” will be happy to know that Season 13 is just days away. In addition to that, it has been speculated that the show will end at the death of its title holder, Meredith Grey.
