The reward of one lottery heating up now in New York State isn’t monetary, it’s historic.

And if you’re not the lucky victor of the one seat being raffled off by Schumer, there will also be a drawing for 100 pairs of tickets to view Pope Francis from the West Lawn of the nation’s Capitol after he addresses Congress.

The deadline to submit requests is August 26th, with requests only being accepted through the Senator’s website.

U.S. Rep. John Katko, R-Camillus, said he will give his only guest ticket for Pope Francis’ address to his wife, Robin.

Schumer’s office will distribute tickets during a random drawing that will be held on August 27. Entrants must fill out name and contact information.

Schumer says 100 people who enter the lottery will come away with a pair of tickets – and one additional person will win the coveted ticket to see the meeting in Congress. Schumer said only the names of the winners will be made public.
