But The Life Of Pablo hit maker Kanye West, 39, isn’t exactly keeping up with his cash-drenched colleagues.

There are some familiar names making the list for 2016 but there are also some newcomers. Puff Daddy sits at #1 with $62 million in earnings for the year, mostly from his deal with Ciroc vodka. Of course, he is also now taking the stage-and making money-on the Bad Boy Reunion Tour.

He easily leads the 2016 pack, ahead of Jay Z in second place with $53.5 million (£40 million). The rap legend has not released an album or tour so most of that income is from his Roc Nation label and other business ventures like TIDAL Music, D’Ussé cognac and Armand de Brignac champagne.

And in a case of the rich getting richer, Dr Dre – who made $620 million in 2014 after Apple purchased his Beats By Dre headphones company, marking the only year Diddy did not rule the financial roost. – finished third.

Dr. Dre is at three with $41 million (£30.7 million), while Drake scores fourth place with $38.5 million (£28.9 million) and Wiz Khalifa rounds out the new top five with $24 million (£18 million). He also received a significant portion of his income this past year from the Straight Outta Compton biopic that depicted the beginnings of his group, N.W.A. Drizzy was in the top three a year ago. Other hip-hop earners that graced the list include Nicki Minaj ($20.5 million), Pitbull ($20 million), Pharrel Williams ($19.5 million), Kendrick Lamar ($18.5 million), Birdman ($18 million) and Kanye West ($17.5 million). Seems all those talks by Yeezy about being $53 million debt could be weighing down on him. For the second consecutive year, Diddy is at the top of Forbes’ annual Hip-Hop Cash Kings List.
