Trump paints new target on legal immigration
Amid the growing uproar in Mexico over the meeting, Pena Nieto told Televisa’s Denise Maerker that he’d invited Trump because his policies are a threat to Mexico – precisely the reason why most Mexicans think he shouldn’t have met with him. It was a smart and ballsy trip that came off well, he was great in Mexico City’. He may, in fact, have been played by the seasoned politician, who is running low in polls and surprised friends and foes alike by inviting Trump, and Hillary Clinton, to Mexico.

A week or so ago, the Never Trump crowd at National Review was chortling that Trump was softening on immigration.
“We did discuss the wall”, Trump said at the news conference. After his more nuanced approach earlier in the day, Trump left himself vulnerable to the charge that he choked at the meeting with Nieto, but in classic bully style, reverted to tough talk when he was back in an environment where no one would challenge him.
Americans - myself included - still struggle to learn the lesson of diversity, to see the value that Mexicans, Latin Americans of many nations, and people from all around the world bring to our culture, economy, language, and daily life. “We didn’t discuss payment of the wall”.
Some members of a council Trump formed last month to advise him on Hispanic issues expressed reservations about or cut ties to the NY real estate developer’s candidacy after the Phoenix speech.
Delivering his eagerly awaited immigration policy, hours after meeting Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto in Mexico City, Trump articulated a strong and tough immigration policy, which is quite opposite to that of his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, which is based on compassion and providing a pathway to almost 11 million illegal immigrants.
Hours later, with his more typical bullying tone and hateful language, he demonized illegal immigrants describing them as criminals, rapists and murders, as he has done in the past. The Clintons have said they will no longer accept such contributions if Clinton is elected president.
Biden was speaking to about 250 people at a United Auto Workers union hall near Youngstown in Ohio’s Mahoning Valley, an area of this bellwether state where Trump showed considerable strength during the Republican primary.
While Biden repeated throughout the speech that Clinton “gets it” when it comes to the middle class, he largely concentrated on the role of unions in revitalizing the American auto industry. “You can’t say different things to different audiences”, Kaine said. This is particularly ironic not just because evidence abounds that Trump is especially dishonest even for a politician, but because his most outrageous “straight talk”-type comments are in fact nearly always accompanied by extensively self-contradictory, dissembling nonsense babble”. If illegal immigrants can’t work here and can’t collect welfare here, they will quietly go home, without the need for any mass deportations.
“The other possibility is that maybe he does not want to win”, he added. I’m still somewhat shocked by the opening he was given by Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, but good for Trump for seeing the opportunity and acting quickly.
“Mexico will pay for the wall”.

“Day one, my first hour in office, those people are gone”, Trump claimed, attacking the current USA immigration system for being “worse than anybody ever realized”.
