The chief minister said everyone, cutting across the political divide, shall have to reinforce the resolve to work through peaceful means and through public participation towards resolution of the problem and restoration of peace in the state so that the future generations can at least live in peaceful environment.
An all-party delegation that visited Jammu and Kashmir met here on Wednesday to decide the future course of action to restore peace in the troubled Valley.

Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Jitendra Singh said after the meeting that the all-party delegation that visited J&K – which has entered its third month of shutdown – felt “there’s no place for violence in a civilised society”.
“Some police personnel are also provided to other members based on the police’s own threat assessment to them”, he added.
Asserting that Congress party insisted on all party delegation to go to Kashmir, he said that lack of response to not hold talks is unacceptable to India.
Kashmiris make a valid criticism when they say that discussions following the massive 2010 disturbances yielded no shade of reform, although numerous ideas concerning the hues of autonomy, as well as specific economic needs of the different regions of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, were discussed through various forums.
“AFSPA (Armed Forces Special Powers Act) should be withdrawn from civilian areas and youth should be given jobs”, the Left leader demanded.
He urged for “unconditional dialogue” with all stake holders for permanent solution of the Kashmir problem.
The Indian government has made a decision to scale down security of Kashmiri separatist leaders, withdraw their passports, scrutinize bank accounts and direct state police to complete pending investigations in cases against them.

Apart from political parties, groups of academicians, teachers and student associations, representatives of school management, prominent NGOs, representatives of Leh, Kargil, Pahari associations, Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, Fruit & Saffron Growers associtions and civil society meet the delegation. “They are integral part of this country”, Sharma said. The members have asked the Centre and the state government to take steps to ensure that educational institutions, government offices and commercial establishments start functioning normally.
