Country star Loretta Lynn hurt in fall, requires surgery

It was announced on Facebook that during the event Lynn’s fans could tour the singer’s large ranch and home along with a tour of the “Coal Miner’s Daughter” museum over the long holiday weekend.

According to a statement on Lynn’s official website, her injuries were not serious, but she will have to have minor surgery, and she will stay off the road until she’s made a full recovery on the advice of her doctors. So far, Lynn has pulled out of her shows scheduled in Renfro Valley, Ky., Newell, W.V. and Bristol, Tenn. There are an additional 14 dates remaining on her tour calendar, which run through April.
