Pochettino isaid on Thursday that Allardyce is yet to discuss his plans for Tottenham’s players ahead of the squad announcement, saying: “I am available always to receive him here if he needs some advice or to talk with my about the players”.

“Then you can not kill the players, they are not machines”.
He added: “Yes, I would like a player like this”.
“Perhaps it is different here as we have a different way of working, and it is important to create our own philosophy, but we continue to believe in young talent”.
Walker’s substitution saw Vincent Janssen make his Premier League debut, as Pochettino reshuffled his team and Eric Dier went into the right-back position. “It’s hard for Saturday [against Liverpool] but it’s sure that after the worldwide break he’s with us again and available for the team”.
Pochettino explained that Spurs are “happy because it wasn’t a big issue” and now “think he’s available very soon”. Remember too that Spurs pretty much blitzed past Monaco last season in the Europa League, and while they’ve improved a little from a year ago, they should still be manageable.
‘And there’s nothing we can do because the players want to be involved.
“Yes it is very important for us to continue doing that”, he said.

And with Spurs set to play their home matches in the competition at Wembley this season, Pochettino is itching to hear the famous Champions League anthem blare out around the home of English football.
“They like to play on the counter-attack”.
