Nigeria arrests two Boko Haram members planning to infiltrate army

He said, in collaboration with the military, the service arrested suspected two high profile members of Boko Haram terrorists in Kano.

A source at the Airport told Channels Television that Nigeria secret police officials, who arrested him were aware of his arrival from Dubai through the passengers’ manifest usually sent by airlines to their destinations.

PREMIUM TIMES could not independently verify reports of Mr. Salkida’s arrest as efforts to get confirmation from the Nigerian Army, the Defence Headquarters, the State Security Service and the police proved unsuccessful.

The army stated that the wanted notice for Salkida along with one Ahmed U. Bolori and Aisha Wakil was to assist with investigation into the whereabouts of the Chibok girls. He said he was not a fugitive and would present himself to Nigerian authorities to explain what he knew about Boko Haram’s inner workings.

A statement on Wednesday from Army spokesman, ‎Colonel Sani Usman, said Bulama was arrested with two other suspected Boko Haram militants; Ardo Abba Muhammed and Muhammadu Kaigama, in Azare community, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State. Audu is an IED specialist who was being groomed to penetrate security agencies in the country.

He had informed the DSS in advance that he planned to return to Nigeria after being declared wanted.

The other persons that were declared wanted had turned themselves in for questioning.
