Arvind Kejrwal was jostled by a crowd of protesters this morning at the railway station in Delhi, from where he took a train to Punjab for a five-day visit.

“Are Delhi Police and BJP conspiring to attack Kejriwal at Modi’s behest?”

The AAP government however has been of the opinion that the post of parliamentary secretary is “not an office of profit” as the MLAs are not receiving any ‘pecuniary benefit’.

“People thought of Kejriwal as someone who harboured high ideals and bring the much needeed change in the political atmosphere in the country”, the BJP leader said.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said the entire episode was planned. However, the Punjab Police has been requested to provide security to Kejriwal during his visit to the state, police sources said.

The official spokesperson of the Delhi government alleged that the Delhi Police allowed the manhandling of the chief minister by leaking reports that no security will be provided for his visit.
