The Xbox Scorpio Will Be Priced as a “Premium Product”

Xbox is definitely pioneering the shift that will end console generations as we know it with PlayStation likely to follow suit.

The Xbox One Scorpio was also described as the most powerful console ever made and a very high-end product, which means that it will also be quite expensive.

“We said we’re not going to have console-exclusive games for Project Scorpio”, Greenberg told Engadget.

“Aaron Greenburg, the head of Microsoft’s Xbox game marketing, clarified the statement by saying that he believed that console gaming would go the way of PCs”.

In an interview, Microsoft’s CEO said that there will be no new generations of gaming consoles, but only hardware upgrades, where all games will be compatible in the future.

The executive added they are focusing on a few things and that includes increasing their growing user base of gamers and bringing their games to more people.

Only NPD Group’s report next month will reveal whether Xbox One S can manage to retain its current title as the top-selling console and keep up with expectations-or if Xbox will lose to Sony.

What sets Project Scorpio apart from the other Xbox One consoles is that it will be far more powerful because it will be created to handle high-fidelity VR gaming.

Microsoft’s Albert Penello stated that he was not anxious about the announcement of Project Scorpio.

Xbox One and Xbox One S gamers who are now using both of these consoles can be worry-free about compatibility issues as well according to Greenberg.

Microsoft is rolling out today a new update to the Xbox One system software, and the new build brings several new features and improvement that previously rolled out to members of the Xbox One preview program. Meanwhile, Project Scorpio won’t be discussed extensively until E3 2017 it seems.

“If the games and the content [of Scorpio] deliver, which I think they will do, I think it will change the way we think about the future of console gaming”, said Greenberg. The 500GB and a 1TB models are also expected to be released later this year.
