Sony announces PlayStation 4 Pro with 4K gaming
The PS4 Pro is coming November 10th and will retail for A$559.95. This marks the first time ever in the history of PlayStation (R) that a higher-end system will be introduced in the middle of the platform’s lifecycle. It also hyped Project Scorpio, a more powerful version due in 2017 that will offer virtual reality and 4K gaming, just like the PlayStation Pro. Following that came the official debut of what fans had previously called PS4 Neo with the PS4 Pro. While the new console will enable higher frame rates in 1080p, it won’t guarantee the current holy grail of gaming – 4k gaming at 60 frames per second. A Sony representative confirmed to Business Insider that the PlayStation 4 Pro does not support 4K Blu-ray playback.

As is always the case with HDR content, it’s hard to see how it will look without an HDR-capable display.
“With PlayStation 4 Pro our goal is to deliver innovation in the form of cutting-edge visuals and graphics while in the midst of the PS4’s lifecycle”.
The company announced during its recent PlayStation Meeting that the smaller version of the PlayStation 4 will retail for $299 Dollars.
Cerny also said that users don’t need a 4K TV to experience the benefits of the PS4 Pro, because the console will recognise the quality of your TV. While the newest console is extremely similar in function to the PlayStation 4, its simplified design reduces its size noticeable, reports The Verge.
Every PS4 game title, including those already available and those launching in the future, will run on all PS4 systems including the new PS4 Pro.

It’s also worth mentioning that current PS4 owners will not be left in the dark as their PS4 Pro companions move forward. However, the PS4 Pro will have the ability to automatically improve the texture quality of existing games.
