LSU flops at Lambeau Field
And the Lambeau Leap would stipulate the players relatively quickly returning to the field of play, whereas these guys just hang out.

The inaugural Lambeau Field College Classic lived to the “classic” billing, as Wisconsin got a late field goal from Rafael Gaglianone to defeat 5th ranked LSU 16-14 in Green Bay. But that’s exactly the case on Saturday when LSU takes on Wisconsin at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. Harris opened the drive up with a 19-yard pass to the tight end across the middle, followed by a couple short passes to Travin Dural and Malachi Dupre to get them to midfield.
The first college football game in more than 30 years at Lambeau Field sure went well for the state of Wisconsin.
The lone bright spot on offense for the Tigers was junior tailback Leonard Fournette, who overcame a slow start to finish with 138 yards on 23 carries. If they did, they’d pick up a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Wisconsin sealed the win on an interception late in the fourth quarter by CB D’Cota Dixon.
No. 7 Michigan 63, Hawaii 3: In Ann Arbor, Michigan, Wilton Speight threw three touchdown passes in the first half the Wolverines beat Hawaii in their most lopsided victory since 1975.
“We’ve got to swarm”.
“Leonard was full speed in my mind”, Miles said.
“Tremendously so”, he said when asked how disappointed he was in the game.
3 Losses – by a total of six points – in 52 games against non-SEC teams for LSU under coach Les Miles.
But the Badgers kept Fournette out of the end zone and limited LSU to 131 yards through the air. Up until the 10:15 mark in the third quarter, Fournette had 13 carries for 39 yards, as the Badgers’ defense held him to only three yards a carry. The Tigers took the 14-13 lead three plays later.
Quarterback Bart Houston looked like a fullback too, in his first collegiate start, after two scrambles for gains in which he lowered his head and plowed forward into tacklers.
With Wisconsin ahead 13-0 in the third quarter, LSU CB Tre’Davious White intercepted Badgers QB Bart Houston and returned it 21 yards for a touchdown, giving LSU its first points of the game.
“It was a lot of fun”, Houston said.
Senior Vince Biegel added, “as a defense we were confident”. “Great backs there, great team, but as long as we do what we do here, I think we’ll be fine”. I grew up in Wisconsin. The Badgers have the home field advantage for today’s high profile matchup. And give credit to our fans.
Last year, Wisconsin lost 35-17 to eventual national champion Alabama.
“Far from ideal, but our guys just kept playing and found ways to make plays”, Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst said. “We’ve been through games where we’ve had our backs against the wall and really needed a stop”.
The Badgers, one could argue, weren’t even at their best Saturday.
“It wasn’t flawless, but they kept playing and found ways to make plays”, Chryst said. “There were spots here and there where we weren’t all on the same page”.
JOSH BOUTTE EJECTED: LSU senior starting right guard Josh Boutte was ejected from the game with 57 seconds to play for a flagrant personal foul. “Until I see the film, I don’t know”.
Miles said he thought the fall camp injury did not affect Fournette’s play coming into the game.

“It’s more than a quarterback”. The Badgers may be unranked, but they always field tough and gritty teams, especially along the front seven. “But I feel like we went out there and proved to them that just because we have a hard schedule doesn’t mean we’re going to lay down and not make plays”.
