These tapes, whose authenticity NDTV can not verify, have been confirmed by the CBI as evidence that it is using in the murder investigation.

Rahul kept a record of all his conversations with Indrani and Peter.The frantic calls he made, and replies from Peter and Indrani were recorded on his Blackberry smart phone.
“I did not know about the recordings when Rahul was recording it”. But advocate Mihir Gheewala, on behalf of Peter Mukerjea who is also accused in the case, told the court that the CBI has to make a statement that its investigation is over and then could start arguing on the framing of charges.
Rahul says that Indrani was the last person Sheena contacted by sending a message in the morning. Bora was engaged to Rahul, who is Peter Mukerjea’s son from his first marriage. “The court has taken cognisance of the same”, the spokesperson said.
Peter Mukerjea is heard telling Rahul that he had spoken to Sheena, that she was fine. She said Sheena had told the HR about taking a leave and that she had not formally resigned. Mikhail, who was a contestant in the Bengali version of the hit reality TV show, Bigg Boss, earlier this year had said on the show that Indrani had also tried to come after him, attempting to drug him.
Immediately after Indrani’s arrest, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna was arrested from Kolkata. Indrani says that maybe Sheena wants to move on from Rahul.
All the accused including Indrani Mukerjea were produced before the court presided over by judge H S Mahajan, and all the three have been sent to judicial custody till September 13.
According to reports, Sheena and her brother Mikhail were abandoned by their mother and raised by their grandparents in Assam. They were arrested in August, 2015, and Peter was held in November. Indrani, her former driver Shyam Rai (who has now turned approver in the case) and Khanna had allegedly strangled Sheena (24), Indrani’s daughter from an earlier relationship, inside a auto in April 2012.
A sessions court recently allowed Rai to turn approver in the case and a prosecution witness.

It was only on May 23, 2012, when local villagers complained of a foul smell emanating from a particular spot in the forests that the Raigad police found Sheena’s body, but it was not properly recorded till more than three years till August 2015.
