Georgia’s SEC basketball schedule announced

During the 18-game league schedule, Missouri plays five opponents twice both in Columbia and on the road: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss and Texas A&M. United Kingdom will also continue the permanent opponent series with Florida Gators, Tennessee Volunteers and Vanderbilt Commodores.

Missouri finished last season with a record of 10-21 (3-15 in SEC play).

The Aggies return eight lettermen, including SEC All-Freshman Team performers in center Tyler Davis and forward DJ Hogg as well as key contributors, center Tonny Trocha-Morelos and guard Admon Gilder. “Making Mizzou Arena one of the best possible environments for basketball starts with us, so we’ll be working as hard as we can every possible day until the season gets here”. This is a good thing for the Hogs, who would occasionally have to travel relatively far on Fridays in between Thursday and Saturday games since Fayetteville is farther away from other SEC schools.

Kentucky’s 2016-17 season will tip off in Rupp Arena on October 14 with the annual Big Blue Madness beginning at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 22 – Texas A&M 7:30 p.m. After the Wildcats’ Dec. 7 game against Valparaiso they will not return to Rupp Arena until January 3 against Texas A&M.

The SEC Network will televise the first three days of the SEC Tournament. The semifinals and championship game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

LSU Coach Johnny Jones enters his fifth season as the head coach of the Tigers, his 22nd season in Baton Rouge counting his years as a player, assistant coach and now head coach.

The Vols begin SEC play against Texas A&M (Dec. 29) at College Station before welcoming the Arkansas Razorbacks to Thompson-Boling Arena for the team’s first conference home game (Jan. 3). The Tigers are set to begin the new campaign with a November 5 exhibition against Central Missouri. Here’s the rest of Mizzou’s regular-season schedule.
